A Night in the Piazza: the Venetian Mardi Gras
There will be costumes, Venetian masks, free Mardi Gras beads, a real gondolier talking about the gondola he brought to Oakland from Venice, and a prize drawing from the Art Museum gift shop.
You can also enjoy Italian food, music and dance, and a fantastic exhibit and video about carnival celebrations around the world currently on display in the Art Museum.
The event will take place in the little square next to the chapel with the small fountain, the faculty/staff dining room, and the Art Museum.
It is free and open to everyone
