The Department of Public Safety strives to provide the best possible public safety services to the SMC community. We continually strive to move in the direction of our President's philosophy, goals, and vision and work these into the everyday operation of our department.
The Department works to enhance safety and services and to gain the support of students, staff, faculty, alumni and supporters, encouraging all to get involved in the safety of the campus. The Saint Mary's Department of Public Safety provides motivation, training and career development for its employees, establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other agencies - local, state, and national. Projecting enthusiasm, we demonstrate leadership and professionalism and continue to be dedicated to all of the above.
