biography
Jane Camarillo became Saint Mary’s College’s Vice Provost for Student Life in Spring, 2007. Jane earned her Ph.D. in Psychology from University of California, Los Angeles, with undergraduate studies completed at the University of Texas, San Antonio.
In this capacity, she is responsible for the areas of Student Involvement and Leadership, Residence Life, Community Life, Counseling, Health and Wellness, Public Safety, New Student and Family Programs, Delphine Intercultural Center and the Women's Resource Center. She works collaboratively with colleagues in Academic Affairs, Office of Mission and Campus Ministry, Catholic Institute for Lasallian Social Action, athletics and recreational sports.
Camarillo came to Saint Mary’s from Stanford University where she served for over ten years as Director of Residential Education. There her responsibilities included the overall operation and development of the undergraduate residential program and implementation of academic initiatives in housing.
