Academic Honor Council
The Academic Honor Councils uphold the College’s Academic Honor Code while promoting academic integrity.
There are two distinct Academic Honor Councils at Saint Mary's College; one is composed of undergraduate students and faculty, while the other consists of graduate-level students and faculty members. The undergraduate student-run council is composed of 20 students and 8 faculty members, while the graduate council consists of 10 students and 6 faculty members who create and maintain a campus climate in which academic integrity is fostered and embraced. Student members of the Acacdemi Honor Council represent all undergraduate and graduate class levels and each of the academic schools, while faculty members represent a balance of departments campus-wide. The Academic Honor Council does not judge students who are reported for suspected violations of the Academic Honor Code, but instead supports them in absorbing the value of academic integrity.
