From speaking to students and faculty to holding review boards, the Academic Honor Council works to uphold integrity within the SMC academic community.
The Academic Honor Council performs many services on the SMC Campus such as:
- Reviewing and revising the Academic Honor Code
- Speaking to First Year Academic Cohorts (FYAC) and first year and transfer Collegiate Seminar classes about academic integrity
- Leading the Integrity Seminar classes each semester for students found in violation of the code
- Handling cases of suspected academic violations
- And many more...
