Intergenerational saturday of service
November 21, 2009 (10:00am-2:00pm)

Celebrate CILSA's Decade of Impact by partcipating in an Intergenerational Saturday of Service for students, staff, faculty, and alumni of SMC!
School age children (5+) are welcome to participate!
There will be five service sites throughout the Bay Area; our goal is to have over 100 SMC community members take part in an intergenerational day of service and reflection. Service sites will be located in Oakland, Alameda, & Walnut Creek.
CILSA staff and student leaders will strive to meet your needs with regard to where you serve; we cannot guarantee your service site location. All service participants will be notified by November 18th where there service site will be.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation will be provided for all SMC students who participate. Staff, faculty, & alumni are encouraged to provide their own transportation.
WHAT TO BRING:
Please plan on wearing clothes that you do not mind getting dirty, close toed shoes, and a hat and/or sunscreen. Please also plan on bringing a water bottle.
LUNCH will be provided for all service participants at no cost.
SCHEDULE (Nov. 21st)
9:00am- Students gather in front of SMC Chapel
9:30am- Students depart SMC to various service sites
10:00am- Students, staff, faculty, & alumni arrive at various service sites
10:00am-10:30am- Service Site Orientation
10:30am-1:30pm- Intergenerational Service
1:30pm-2:00pm- Lunch & Intergenerational Reflection
2:00pm- Depart service sites; return to SMC and/or home
