Committee for Advancement and Development
In preparation of CILSA’s upcoming 10th anniversary, the Committee for Advancement and Development was established to help create a vision and fiscal foundation for the next decade. The committee will help CILSA in “friend raising” and fund raising to meet programmatic goals. The committee convened its inaugural meeting in May. The committee includes Jim Wood, Liz Spencer, Yolanda Vega, and Enid Macken with ex-officio members Dr. Frances Sweeney, Vice Provost for Academics, Elizabeth Gallagher, SMC Advancement Office, and Br. Donald Mansir. Priorities for the committee are to explore ways to provide financial support to students who are not eligible for federal work-study programs, faculty fellowships, and create summer immersion service experiences. The committee meets once a semester for planning meetings.
