Faculty Support
As a campus institute that reports to the Academic Provost, CILSA supports faculty across the disciplines who are dedicated to engaged pedagogy. CILSA’s many forms of support include:
- Technical Assistance: One-on-one consultation and group support in developing, implementing, and assessing Service-Learning, Community-Based Research (CBR) and Social Justice Across the Curriculum courses.
- Professional Development: Workshops, retreats, book clubs, study groups, and more.
- Community Partner Connections: Initial identification of potential partners and assistance with establishing mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Ongoing Course Support: Engaged Learning Facilitators (ELFs), CILSA student leaders who support faculty, students and community partners in engaged courses.
- Resources: Materials, information and funding initiatives.
