mission
Our mission is to promote a culture of service at Saint Mary's College, practice and promote faith, justice and works of charity, and integrate the College's Catholic, Lasallian, and liberal arts traditions. CILSA provides opportunities to transform understanding into action and to engage in compassionate service. Catholic social thought recognizes the inherent dignity of each individual, and is committed to justice for all people, especially the poor. The liberal arts tradition, especially the practice of genuine inquiry, helps students examine the way that they live and enables them to contribute meaningfully to their community. CILSA is committed to helping faculty and students foster connections between service activities and academic study.
