H1N1 Influenza Precaution
Commencement is such a wonderful time of celebration. We are providing some precautionary measures during the ceremony: including hand sanitizers at strategic locations throughout campus. We hope that you will also observe some common sense precautions to help reduce the spread of illness. For more information, please go to the Saint Mary's H1N1 webpage.
12:15p.m. Commencement Rehearsal, McKeon Pavilion
All Graduates must attend the rehearsal. The rehearsal is very important to prepare for a memorable ceremony. The rehearsal runs until approximately 1:00p.m. Please inform your guests that early seating in McKeon Pavilion will be limited to persons with disabilities or special needs. General seating will begin at approximately 1:00p.m.
1:45p.m. Procession Formation
You will need to return to the formation area at 1:40p.m. It is important that you return to the formation area at this time. We will not wait for you if you are late!
2:00p.m. Commencement Procession and Ceremony
Commencement is a time to celebrate the culmination of the effort you dedicated to your area of graduate study. It is a time for sharing with family, friends, faculty and staff the joy and result of your effort. It is a time to recognize and thank those most responsible for helping you arrive at this moment. And especially, it is a time to congratulate our graduates!
3:30 p.m. - 5:30p.m. Reception
Following the commencement ceremony, graduates, their families, and college faculty and staff are invited to a reception in their honor in the Soda Activity Center located next to McKeon Pavilion.
