Students from the Academic Honor Council hold interactive honor code workshops with First Year Academic Cohorts (FYAC's), student athletes, transfer students, international students, tutors, and freshmen collegiate seminars.

Interactive Case Studies

  • The Academic Honor Council (AHC) offers interactive student-led workshops on academic integrity within our community that can be scheduled for anytime during the academic year.   
  • This is an overview of the academic honor code, with actual case studies from SMC that the students review and vote on as if they are members of the AHC. 
  • Applications of integrity are applied to real world scenarios that students can relate to, recourses that are available to students on campus are reviewed, ways of coping with the stressors particularly related to their major are discussed, and applications of academic integrity to their major are emphasized.
