the center for the regional economy
The Center for the Regional Economy helps bring together faculty and students at Saint Mary’s College with regional business, governmental and non-profit groups in support of the vibrant economy of the San Francisco East Bay. The College’s mission highlights its concern for a sustainable economy and social development, and the Center provides a way for this mission to reach the local community.
The Center acts as a clearinghouse and resource for the local economic community, providing grant-based consulting and research by Saint Mary’s faculty and student interns on a wide range of economic, political, environmental and social issues. The Center also helps organize regional meetings, including the College’s annual State of the Economy conference, and serves as a repository and resource for information about the regional economy.
