honors
Economics majors and minors who maintain a GPA of 3.0 overall and 3.0 in their economics courses (3.25 for minors) will be considered for induction and a lifetime membership into the Saint Mary's Chapter* of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the internationally-recognized Economics Honors Society.
Majors who maintain at least a B average in economics may qualify to complete an honors thesis in their senior year. Honors thesis candidates normally begin the project in Econ. 120 or 142, and with permission of the instructor and department chairperson complete it in Econ. 199.
* Membership is determined by the Economics Department and is not awarded until students have completed Econ 105 and 106.
