1. What is the language requirement for the International Concentration?
The language requirement for the International Concentration is the same as the language requirement for the College as a whole.
2. Can I graduate in both the International Concentration and the Honors Concentration in Financial Services?
Yes. It will require careful planning of your course schedule; you might have to take summer classes in order to graduate in 4 years.
3. Can I satisfy the ’Semester Abroad’ requirement of the International Concentration during Jan Term?
No.
4. Can I satisfy the ’Semester Abroad’ requirement of the International Concentration during the summer?
Permission is occasionally granted to do this. You must demonstrate that it would be a severe hardship for you to go abroad during the regular semester. You must be a full time student for the entire summer (a 4 -week trip to take 1 class wouldn’t be acceptable, for example).
5. I was raised in India. Can I return to India for my Semester Abroad?
The International Concentration is designed to add breadth to a student’s international experience. Foreign students must spend a semester abroad in a country where they have not previously lived.
6. I was raised in Philippines. Can I be exempted from the Semester Abroad requirement?
The International Concentration is designed to add breadth to a student’s international experience. Everyone in the International Concentration must spend a semester abroad. Occasional exceptions may be made for foreign students in cases of extreme financial hardship.
