ms-faim admissions
The MS-FAIM Program is a good choice for anyone with an interest in financial analysis and an aptitude for quantitative work, including students with degrees in mathematics, statistics, engineering, physical and biological sciences, economics, accounting, finance, information systems, and business administration. An undergraduate degree in finance or accounting is not required for admission.
Admission is determined on the basis of undergraduate GPA, Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) scores, recommendations, and professional objectives. Students may submit Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores in lieu of the GMAT with the permission of the Director of Admissions. Applicants with extensive experience in funds management or extraordinary undergraduate records may petition for exemption from the GMAT.
International students
International students whose university education was in a language other than English must provide a minimum TOEFL score of 213. The TOEFL score and the verbal GMAT score will be used to evaluate the applicant's proficiency in English.
International students studying on an F-1 student visa must take a minimum of two courses per quarter to qualify as full-time students. F-1 students may take additional MBA courses but are not required to do so. International (F-1 visa) students must also submit a bank certified statement of financial resources that shows sufficient funds to pay for the MS program and all required living expenses.
