choice of locations, delivery schedules and delivery formats
The Saint Mary’s Executive MBA Program is offered seven times per year in different locations, schedule formats and delivery formats. Specifically the Executive MBA (EMBA) Program is offered on the Moraga campus once per year in a Saturday and evening format, and twice per year in a hybrid format. It is also offered off-campus once per year in Sacramento (alternate weekend format), San Ramon (evening format) and the South Bay (evening format). All of the above program options are taught in a traditional, 100% traditional classroom delivery format with the exception of the EMBA Hybrid Program option.
EMBA - Sacramento
The Sacramento Program has an alternate weekend format. During each 11-week quarter classes are held on weeks 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11: Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Friday evening consists of one 4-hour class and Saturday consists of two 4-hour classes). In addition, on week 6, classes are held on Friday only from 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. (One class from 2:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. and the other from 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.) There are no Saturday classes on 5 of the 11 weeks of each quarter. The Sacramento Program is taught on our Sacramento campus at 1750 Howe Avenue, Suite 125, Sacramento California 94825, and can be started in Autumn Quarter.
EMBA – South Bay
Classes in the South Bay Program meet two nights (Tuesday and Thursday) per week from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. All classes are held in the Network Meeting Center at the Techmart in Santa Clara. The South Bay Program can be started in Autumn Quarter.
EMBA – San Ramon
The San Ramon Program is also an evening program. Classes are held 2 nights (Tuesday and Thursday) a week from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Classes are held at the San Ramon Valley Learning Center. The San Ramon Program can be started in Spring Quarter.
The Evening Program – Moraga
Classes in the Evening Program meet weekdays (Monday and Wednesday) from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Evening Program can be started in Autumn Quarter.
The Saturday Program - Moraga
Students attend classes every Saturday: one course in the morning and one in the afternoon. The Saturday Program can be started in Autumn Quarter.
The Hybrid Program - Moraga
The Hybrid Program combines a 50% traditional classroom with a 50% virtual classroom. The online portion uses web-based, synchronous technology, e.g., web conferencing, to create a learning environment that facilitates peer collaboration. Students meet online on Monday and Wednesday evening each week.
Classes meet on the Saint Mary’s campus on alternate Saturdays during each 11-week quarter, providing engagement and relationships among students and faculty that is lacking in purely web-based programs. At the same time web-based technologies allow for individualized instruction and the ability to complete the coursework at the time and place of your choice.
Saturday classes meet for approximately four hours and use the traditional classroom-based elements of lecture, presentations, case analysis and discussion. Classes run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and are held on the Saint Mary’s College campus. The Hybrid Executive MBA can be started in Summer or Winter Quarter.
