Hybrid Executive MBA
Admission Process
Requirements for Admission
Our Hybrid EMBA students are more seasoned than typical MBA students. Their years of professional experience allow them to add depth to class discussions by sharing work challenges and solutions.
- Professional work experience: You must have at least five years of management experience, which may include managing people, projects, budgets, or teams. We value advanced degrees, but they are not a substitute for work and management experience.
- Education background: You must have a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in any academic field, not necessarily in Business. The Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) is not required.
- Basic business knowledge required: You will need to demonstrate that you can handle the academic rigor of the program. Typically, we review/evaluate your undergraduate and post-graduate transcripts, on-the-job training, and work-related subject matter expertise. You also need to be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. If you have a knowledge gap, we may require that you take some appropriate undergraduate courses before applying.

How to apply
There are no admissions deadlines, but we recommend applying early because this popular program is limited to 24 participants and often has a wait list. Qualified candidates will be considered as long as vacancies exist. Completed applications are requested at least one month prior to the preferred quarter of entry.
We offer this new Web-based application in hopes that it will make the application process as easy and convenient as possible for you. Please use the following strategy to expedite the completion of your online application:
- Enter and save the core information for each page.
- If you have an updated resume, follow the instructions provided to upload your resume into your application. If you want to refine your resume, you can fax (925.376.6521) or email it later to Graduate Business.
- Download the instructions to complete the Statement of Objectives. You can complete your Statement of Objectives later and fax or email it to Graduate Business.
