Emerging technologies in online learning
We continually explore new learning technologies and incorporate the very best into our Hybrid Executive MBA Program. Here are some of the emerging technologies in online learning that we use:
- Netbook: When you enter the Hybrid Program, you receive a new netbook, which will be preloaded with the software and content you'll need to be productive right away. If you have an iPhone ® or iTouch®, you will also be able to access much of the content through these devices as well.
- Browser-based program: A customized Saint Mary's College MBA Web browser bar provides you with convenient and secure access to all courses, materials, e-mail lists, podcasts, and web conferences.
- Audio and video podcasts: You will have convenient access to faculty lectures through iTunes®. You can download lectures and other podcasts into your netbook or iTouch® so you can stay up-to-date with coursework anytime, anywhere.
- Web conferencing: Online class sessions are held in a real-time web-conferencing system that combines voice, video, shared applications, and a collaboration board. You'll be able to participate in live evening classes anywhere you have Internet access.
- Interactive student Web site: We built a secure Web site for our students, which provides easy access to the interactive technologies of all our programs.
