CFA exams
The MS-FAIM program focuses on the quantitative techniques used in financial analysis, including all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) curriculum. You'll be able to complete all three levels of the CFA exam in a year and a half. After completing the MS-FAIM in September you can take the CFA Level I exam in December of the same year, the CFA Level II exam in June of the following year, and the CFA Level III in June of the next year. Starting times are variable, however, and you can take the exams at a pace that suits your needs.
Students who plan to take the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) exams Level 1, may apply for a scholarship to cover part of the costs as explained on the CFA Institute website:
http://www.cfainstitute.org/cfaprog/university/student_scholarship.html
During the final quarter of the program, the Graduate Business Office will send information to eligible students.
Questions may be directed to:
Professor Jiv Kale, Faculty/Director, jkale@stmarys-ca.edu or to: Robert Henderson, Director, Graduate Business Operations, rhenders@stmarys-ca.edu
The CFA designation is granted by the Association of Investment Management and Research (AIMR), and has become a must-have designation in the funds management industry. To learn more visit AIMR's web site at www.aimr.org.
