THe mba option
MS-FAIM students and graduates may also earn a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from Saint Mary's College. MS-FAIM courses are used to waive or provide credit for equivalent courses in the Professional MBA Program. Ordinarily an additional 9 MBA courses are required to complete the MBA, but 3 courses can be waived based on past undergraduate or graduate coursework. The 9 required MBA courses are:
- GMAN 305 Operations Management*
- GMAN 306 Management Communication*
- GMAN 307 Legal Aspects of Business*
- GMAN 311 Organizational Behavior and Management
- GMAN 313 Marketing Management
- GMAN 314 International Business
- GMAN 315 Ethics and Social issues in Business
- GMAN 316 Industry Analysis
- GMAN 317 Business Strategy

These courses are offered on a regular twice-a-year basis through the Professional MBA Program. MS-FAIM students who want to study on an official full-time basis — to satisfy visa requirements, for instance — may do so by taking an additional MBA course during all 5 quarters of the MS-FAIM Program. Students who elect to do this can complete the MBA requirements 3 to 6 months after completion of the MS-FAIM Program. MS-FAIM graduates may also return later to complete the required courses. MBA requirements must be completed within 3 years of completing the MS-FAIM Program.
