Admissions
The T-GEMBA program is designed for people with significant professional achievements and organizational responsibilities. Participants are selected on the basis of their academic and managerial accomplishments and potential Applications are reviewed individually on the basis of well-defined criteria. The application process involves a careful examination of each applicant's managerial experience, academic background, professional and educational goals, and the potential for achieving leadership positions.
Most individuals who meet these requirements generally possess five or more years of organizational experience, and have held an executive or management level position for more than three years. Highly qualified individuals with less than five years of outstanding experience are also considered for admission. Others will have successful careers in professions such as medicine, law or education.
Admissions Requirements
The requirements for admission include the following, which will be used in selecting the participants:
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience
- A minimum of 3 years of executive/supervisory/team experience
- Statement of applicant's program objectives and professional goals
- A resume of business experience
- (Optional) support of your employing organization
ACADEMIC PREPARATION
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution or the equivalent
- Record of previous graduate-level coursework, when available
- Performance on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination ONLY for participants who have received their high school diplomas and undergraduate degree overseas (minimum score of 550 to qualify)
ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTATION
- Two Letters of Reference from individuals who can discuss the applicant's professional experience
- Applicant interview
- Community service and professional activities
- Demonstrated potential for career advancement
Application requirements and procedures are fully described in the T-GEMBA Program Application. Saint Mary's Graduate Business Office will contact the applicant to schedule an interview once a completed application packet has been received. Applicants will be notified of their admission as soon as possible following the interview.
Application Procedures
The application fee is $50 and is non-refundable. Application materials may be obtained in one of the following ways:

Applicants must supply the following items to Saint Mary's Graduate Business office:
- Completed Application Packet (see above)
- Four recent passport-size photographs
- Official transcripts of all colleges and universities attended
- Copies of all degrees, diplomas, certificates or professional qualifications
- Official TOEFL (if applicable) score report

Program Fees
The cost of the Saint Mary's College Trans-Global Executive MBA program is $59,000. This cost covers tuition, all required books and materials, meals and other boarding and lodging costs associated with the program. All costs except for international airfare and international transportation for the overseas course and the local transportation costs for attending the San Francisco Bay Area courses are included. A notebook computer is required and is not included in the fee.
Upon acceptance in to the program, a $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a place in the program class. The deposit is applied toward the first tuition payment. Tuition payments are not refundable. All T-GEMBA participants enjoy the same privileges as other MBA participants in the use of the SMC Computer Centers, the university libraries, and sports and recreational facilities. In addition, they are registered as users of the SMCNET Virtual Campus and all the recreational and sports facilities at the San Ramon Valley Conference Center.
Degree
Upon successful completion of the 15-month T-GEMBA program, Saint Mary's College awards the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
