This program is a fifteen-month, part-time program consisting of 15 MBA courses. One four-unit course will be taught each month. Prior to the lectures of each course, reading and on-line assignments will be given to students. Classes will meet for four consecutive days following a successful format pioneered at another American university by some of the principals at Saint Mary’s College.
The T-GEMBA program is offered at the San Ramon Valley Conference Center, in what is now considered to be Silicon Valley East, in a condensed format whereby one 4-day residential class module is conducted per month for an extended week-end. There are two overseas class modules of nine days duration which are offered at one of our overseas partner’s learning facilities. The program takes a total of 15 months to complete for each cohort of participants. All courses in the program are required and there are no electives.
During the program, participants complete a team-based international business consultancy project for an overseas or global non-profit organization or company, attend courses with overseas managers at Saint Mary’s partner’s global sites in Asia, Europe and South America, and work in global teams with managers overseas on international field study projects and company visits. Click here to read a recent article highlighting these projects in the Saint Mary's Magazine. Participants develop an in-depth understanding of core business disciplines, learn to integrate these disciplines cross-culturally and learn how to manage globally. A key component in their learning process is to work and interact with managers in other regions of the world in both the classroom and business project environment.
