Each of the credential programs in the Kalmanovitz School of Education (KSOE) that leads to a California credential or certificate is approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC), which issues the appropriate document. Each of these programs has, in addition to the required coursework, specific credentialing requirements mandated by the CCTC for all approved programs in California.
It is the responsibility of the KSOE's Credential Analyst, Mel Hunt, to ensure that each candidate enrolled in a credential or certificate program receives appropriate information and advice about the requirements of the program in which the candidate is enrolled. Since these requirements are subject to modification by CCTC over time, the best way to view the current requirements is on the Commission website.
