The Politics Department faculty recommends that students take Politics 1 (Intro to Comparative Politics) before taking a Group IV upper division course, Politics 2 (Intro to American Politics) before taking a Group I upper division course, Politics 3 (Intro to Political Theory) before taking a Group II upper division course, and Politics 4 (Intro to Political Economy) before taking a Group II upper division course.
