Brian Jersky
School of Science Dean Brian Jersky joined Saint Mary's College on July 1, 2006. A native of South Africa, Dean Jersky attended college in Johannesburg, where he spent part of his undergraduate years in Soweto teaching black high school teachers who lacked high school degrees. He spent 14 years at Sonoma State University, where he was a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics and director of academic planning and resources for the School of Science and Technology. Dean Jersky specializes in statistics and is on the executive committee of the American Statistical Association's Section on Statistical Education.
