major requirements
The Environmental Science and Studies program offers both a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. You can choose from three majors: Environmental Studies, Environmental Science with a concentration in Environmental Biology and Earth Science, or Environmental Science with a concentration in Environmental Chemistry. Also, the Environmental Science and Studies Program hosts a seminar series which includes broad areas of interest related to the environment, from poetry to science. All majors are required to do either a senior project or a research internship.
The B.A. in Environmental Studies
The B.A. in Environmental Studies is less scientifically rigorous and emphasizes the social sciences, humanities and arts as they relate to the earth’s environment. The B.A. program requires completion of 14 courses and a Senior Project.
