attendees with special needs
Handicap Parking - Handicap parking is available in the designated lots for those in need of special parking. You will be directed to the lot and must have a State issued Handicap plate or placard. A golf cart will then transport individuals from the designated lot to the stadium seating area.
Seating - Special seating is reserved on the field level for individuals who require field-level seating because of age, illness or physical impairment. These individuals must be seated 30 minutes prior to Commencement, that is, no later than 9 am. At that point, the area becomes open seating. Please note that one or two family members may accompany the person with special needs; however, the rest of the family will need to sit in the stands.
Sign Language Interpreters - Please notify the Office of Academic Affairs by April 15, 2009 at (925) 631-4408 if your family has need of an interpreter. Reserved seating will be made available for you.
Weather - The College hosts an outdoor Commencement ceremony so that we can accommodate our graduates’ families, friends and guests. Commencement is held outside rain or shine. Please come prepared for any kind of weather (warm coats, rain coats, umbrellas, sunscreen, hats, etc.). Be advised that the stadium offers little shade.
