Study Abroad in the Fall and Spring Semesters
In addition to traveling abroad during January Term, Saint Mary's College offers eight distinct Study Abroad programs during the regular semesters. In the fall, students may study in Rome, Italy, in Sevilla, Spain, in London or Oxford, England, and in Aix-en-Provence or Avignon, France. In the spring students may study in Sydney, Australia, in Cuernavaca, Mexico, in Rome, Italy and in Cape Town, Africa. Students may also apply to study abroad in one of Saint Mary’s College exchange programs in Tokyo, Japan, in Mexico City, Mexico and in Barcelona, Spain. Finally, students have additional opportunities through the Lasallian Study Abroad Consortium which sponsors programs in Argentina, France, Ireland, Italy, and Australia.

The cost of these Study Abroad programs is one semester's full tuition, room and board, and half the airfare. When applicants are approved to participate in a Saint Mary's College or a Lasallian Study Abroad program, any government and Saint Mary's College financial aid will be applied. When applicants are approved for a non-Saint Mary's College program, all government financial aid will be applied, but Saint Mary's College financial aid cannot be transferred.
General information sessions about study abroad options will be held every other week; call x4107 to find the times and locations. There will also be a Study Abroad Fair in the Dante quad on Wednesday, September 23rd from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The deadline for spring applications is Friday, October 23. Applications for studying in the fall semester will be in mid-March. The application requires both an essay and letters of recommendation, so plan ahead. GPA restrictions also apply: 3.5 for Oxford; 3.0 for Cape Town and London; 2.75 for Cuernavaca, Seville, and Sydney.
