The Spring Visit Program
Spring Visit Programs is an opportunity for admitted students to come to campus and experience a day or two as a Saint Mary's College student. You will have the opportunity to stay in the residence halls, meet with current students, sit in on classes and meet with professors. It is important that admitted students who are interested in participating, register for the program. Admitted students have two options to select from: Our 2 day Overnight program or our one day option, Gael-for-a-Day.

We offer two overnight programs. Our Honors Overnight Program is reserved for students who have been accepted to Saint Mary's with Honors at Entrance or have been invited to interview for a Presidential Scholars scholarship. Presidential Scholars scholarship interviews will take place during the Honors Overnight program only. Our Traditional Overnight program is open to all students who have been admitted to Saint Mary's.
During the Overnight program, you will be able to experience a day in the life of a typical Saint Mary's student: attend classes, have dinner in Oliver Hall, meet with professors, and take part in a Collegiate Seminar class. You will also have an opportunity to participate in a number of evening activity options. Join both current SMC students and other newly-admitted students in learning how to salsa dance, take a hike up to the cross, or challenging one another to a quick game of basketball or volleyball.
Check-in starts at 1:30pm on Tuesday, followed by a welcome session that begins at 2:30pm. Students then begin their SMC experience spending the afternoon attending classes, participating in social activities, and settling into the residence halls with their student hosts. On Wednesday morning, time is allocated for students to meet with faculty, attend classes, and enjoy lunch before the program ends at 1:30pm.
Parents are invited to attend a brief parent program on Tuesday of the overnight program from 2:30pm to 5:00pm. A panel of campus representatives will be on hand to answer questions, and parents will be able to mingle informally before taking a tour of campus. Although there is no overnight housing available for parents on campus, a list of recommended local hotels can be found on page 16 of the "SMC Now" acceptance brochure or click here. A parent program in Spanish during the overnight program on April 21-22 in addition to the parent program in English.

There will be a parent program offered along side with the student program. The parent program will include a panel of speakers from various campus departments, a general financial aid presentation, and lunch.
