Transfer candidates must have:
- a minimum of 23 transferable academic semester units or 34 transferable academic quarter units
- a minimum grade point average of 2.3 or higher
Students who have less than the minimum number of units may be eligible for admission if they were eligible coming out of high school. The Admissions Committee requires that students complete the math admission requirement of one year of high school algebra and one year of high school geometry or their equivalents with a grade of C or higher prior to enrolling.
Please review our Articulation Agreement page for a list of transferable courses and agreements made with local institutions. Credit is not given for courses in which grades of D+ or below are received, although the grades are calculated into the grade point average. A maximum of 19 lower division course credits are transferable to Saint Mary's College (approximately 64 semester units or 95 quarter units).
Transfer applicants are required to submit:
- Application for admission, including a non-refundable $55.00 processing fee
- Final high school transcripts or the results of a high school graduation equivalency exam
- Official transcripts of all college work
- Essay
- A letter of recommendation is highly encouraged but not required
