Join us for an informative afternoon sponsored by the Saint Mary's College School of Science. See what makes Saint Mary's an excellent choice for the student considering a science focus in college. We offer programs in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Engineering 3+2, Environmental Science and Studies, Health Sciences, Mathematics, Nursing 2+2, Physics & Astronomy, and Psychology.
Led by professors from our School of Science, and featuring in-depth explorations of the departmental offerings available, tours and demonstrations will permit you to see exactly why a liberal arts college is particularly suited to the study of science. Current students will be on-hand to describe their own personal academic experiences at Saint Mary's and the amazing research opportunities available.
Program Details:
Sunday, November 11th, 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm
12:30 pm Registration begins in the Soda Center.
1:00 pm Opening Welcome in the Soda Center
1:30 pm - 3:00 pm Small group tours, led by professors, will rotate through our science facilities. Professors will provide information on the various departmental offerings and research opportunities. Current students will be on-hand to assist in presentations and discuss their personal experiences as science majors at Saint Mary's.
3:00 pm Closing remarks by Brian Jersky, Dean of the School of Science, and optional campus tours
