Basketball season opener goes green:
Saint Mary's men's basketball opens this season at
home with the Shamrock Invitational, which includes
Murray State, San Diego State, (both were in last
year's NCAA Tournament) and Seattle Pacific on

Exhibit explores evolution of
winemaking:
SMC professor Paola Sensi-Isolani, with the help of
Lisa Pieraccini '88, created the new exhibit, "Planting
Roots, Reaping the Harvest," which examines how
generations of Italians influenced California's wine
industry. It is now open through Jan. 28, 2007 at
the Museo ItaloAmericano in San Francisco. Read

Record-breaking soccer goal makes
headlines:
Saint Mary's freshman Jessica Menzhuber led the

Rita Garcia MHPE&R '88 was featured in a
Gilroy Dispatch story on Oct. 26 about her retirement
from Saint Louise Regional Hospital where she served
as vice president of facilities and hospitality. Garcia,
who lives in Morgan Hill, spent 27 years working in
hospital administration.
