What: Planning vs. Panic: Facing An Uncertain Future. Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow Anita Perez Ferguson, in her public lecture will address the questions: How do you plan for tomorrow when the systems fall apart? What critical thinking skills are required for negotiating in the current public policy and financial arenas?
Who: Anita Perez Ferguson served as Chair of the Inter-American Foundation during the Clinton administration. She has served as resident of the National Women's Political Caucus and earlier in her career as the White House Liaison to the U.S. Department of Transportation. Ms Perez is a weekly contributor to WAMC National Public Radio in New York. Her books include Women Seen and Heard and A Passion for Politics. Hispanic Business Magazine named her to its list, "The 100 Most Influential Hispanics in the United States." When: Monday, Feb. 23, 7 p.m.

The Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellows program is dedicated to encouraging the flow of ideas between the academic and non-academic sectors of society. During her week long visit Ms Perez will participate in spring classes, departmental workshops and other campus activities. Saint Mary's College has participated in the program for the past 16 years, hosting prominent businessman, journalists, writers and activists; including Robert Musil, Elenor Clift, Lucille Clifton and Robert Pinsky.
