I had the great pleasure to be inaugurated as the 29th president of Saint Mary’s College in October. Indeed, it was the greatest privilege of my life.
In my short time as president of Saint Mary's, I have come to understand that community is at the core of all that we do. We have an immensely talented and committed group of students, faculty and staff working in support of a clear and ever-present sense of mission. It is clear that the members of our community love Saint Mary's as a place to work, teach and learn. I believe the College's unique value sits at the intersection of the three cornerstones of our identity, and the kind of education we provide is what the world desperately needs right now.
I intend to continue to have substantive conversations with alumni, faculty, staff, students and others as we chart the course for the next chapter in the history of the College. It is important to me that we shape the future of Saint Mary's together.
Our pursuit is of the utmost importance. We are helping to create both productive members of our society and citizens of conscience and character. We are a Gael Force changing the world one student at a time.
