Last Summer's Workshops (2008)
Figure Drawing for Teens - Teresa Onoda
August 19 & 20 or August 26 & 27, 1 to 4 PM in Studio 1. Six Participants minimum.
Workshop fee: $65 Model and materials fee: $35
Time will fly by in this classical figure drawing class. Students will learn how to draw a live model with various drawing tools: conté, chalk, pencil, India ink and Japanese brush. Exercises will include: volume and mass, proportions, positive and negative shape relationships, and gesture and contour drawings to strengthen line drawing and eye-hand coordination. Live clothed model. All materials provided. Ages 13 to 18.
Teresa Onoda earned a BFA at Creighton University, and has taught in Omaha, Houston, Memphis, Bloomfield Hills, and Benicia. She studied plein air painting for many years with Pam Glover. She can be contacted at her website - http://www.onodaart.com/
