Welcome back to a new academic year, and another year filled with Ask a Librarian workshops! We are starting off the year with a session of especial interest to our science and scientific community.
This month's workshop meets on Wednesday, September 19th, from 12:45 to 1:45, during community time. It meets in the Wildenradt Theatre, 2nd floor of the Library. And this time, for the first time, we do need RSVPs for those you wish to attend. It is important that we set up in advance with SciFinder for this to be a workable experience.
So, register in advance for a hands-on experience using one of the Library's newest subscription databases: SciFinder.
SciFinder provides access to Chemical Abstracts in a user-friendly interface, and leads you to abstracts of articles from over 10,000 journals in all of the fields in which chemistry plays a part including applied chemistry such as medicine, agriculture, pharmaceutical research, genomics, as well as biochemistry, organic, inorganic, physical and and analytical chemistry.
Find out how you can use SciFinder in your classroom, and in your personal research.
Please contact me by September 17th, if you wish to attend the session.
