Five Gaels Seek Regional Competition
Lauren Groth `09, Renee Gistand `08, and Jessica Angelo ‘09 represented the Gaels in Pennsylvania this summer on the U-23 Pacific Coast All-Star Grizzlies team. In addition to the all-star Grizzlies team, Groth took part in the National All-Star 7’s Championship this summer as well.
In Andy Garcia ’11 and Molly Bloom ’11 tried out for the U-19 Pelican Nor-Cal team, but unfortunately during try-outs Bloom came out with a fractured scapula and was put on the injured list. Garcia continued to participate in the U-19 Pelican Nor-Cal season. In October, Garcia and Bloom will again represent the SMC Gaels as they try out for the U-19 Pacific Coast All-Star Grizzlies team.
