What: Freedom Rising: Notes from the Front Lines. Award-winning journalist Charles Cobb, leads us on a guided tour of the Civil Rights Trail, from Washington, D.C. through eight southern states, visiting where pioneers of the civil rights movement fought for freedom.
Who: Charles E. Cobb, civil rights activist, a member of the Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) from 1962-67, former staff writer for National Geographic magazine, a foreign affairs reporter for NPR and a
writer /correspondent for the PBS program FRONTLINE, and recent inductee into the National Association of Black Journalists' Hall of Fame. His latest book
"On the Road to Freedom a Guided Tour of the Civil Rights Trail," brings to life the stories and struggles of the Civil Rights movement.
