An article in the Sacramento Bee about the competition between schools offering executive MBA programs quotes Nelson Shelton, associate dean and director of graduate business programs at Saint Mary's College.
"This is another example of what is probably the biggest change that I've seen since I started here 25 years ago," said Shelton. "Schools are in a competitive marketplace and have to compete. We're all fighting for the same students."
"When the dot-com boom busted, we saw a subsequent increase in enrollment for about a year," Shelton said. "But the effects of that are over. Enrollment to executive MBA programs has definitely leveled off."
