Cardinal Newman Collection Display

The Saint Mary's College library has one of the most extensive collections relating to Cardinal Newman in the world. Among the treasured items shown are: a 5th century book from Newman's own collection that bears his signature; a copy of the first edition of “The Undergraduate,” a magazine founded by Newman when he was an 18-year-old student at Oxford; and a first edition of  "Apologia Pro Vita Sua," the famous work that he wrote in response to attacks on him and the Catholic faith.
