Does graduate school make sense for me?

It may well be that the career you want to pursue requires a graduate degree. But the question you need to ask yourself is, "Does graduate school make sense for me?" The Career Center specializes in offering advice and guidance to SMC students about this very important question.

Br. Glenn Bolton, FSC serves as the Career Center’s Graduate School Advisor.  Appointments with Br. Glenn can be made by calling (925) 631-4600.  To help you explore how graduate school might fit into your future profession plans the following activities are provided during the academic year:

  1. Individualized counseling appointments tailored to your particular graduate school program

  2. Graduate School Information Nights in the Fall (September) and Spring (February)

  3. A Graduate School Information Faire in October of every school year

  4. LSAT, GRE, and GMAT prep courses are offered on the SMC campus each semester.  Generally Br. Glenn has been able to secure a 40% discount option with The Princeton Review on these test prep programs

Br. Glenn provides counseling to students interested in pursuing graduate degrees (MA, MAT, MS, MEd, MFA, PhD, EdD, JD, MD, etc.)  Topics for discussion include, but are not limited to:
