Employers want SMC Graduates. Read what one recruiter has to say:
Stephanie Tews, Senior Financial Analyst, Pacific Gas and Electric Company
There are several qualities SMC students have that make them attractive to employers but one quality that stands out to me is their intellectual curiosity. They aren't simply satisfied with getting the answer or solving a problem but they take the next step to ask "why?" The analytical skills of SMC students derive from seminar and a liberal arts education makes them well suited to a work environment where it often pays off to dig deeper. Additionally, I think that the #1 quality PG&E looks for when hiring an individual is their communication skills. The seminar program has taught SMC students how to fully formulate a thought and communicate to a group of people as well as how to write clearly and concisely. Finally, I am confident in recruiting SMC students because of the core values that have been instilled in them through their Lasallian education. Their social awareness, accountability, and desire to give back are qualities that are enriching to any work environment.
