The Office of Mission presents a lecture and conversation with Christauria Welland, PsyD. The presentation will explore sexuality in Catholic and other spiritual traditions, discuss the tension inherent in self-mastery and mutual respect in the expression of sexuality, and the profound teachings of John Paul II on the nuptial meaning of the body and what that implies for our lives as sexual Christians.
Understanding sexuality from a Catholic perspective involves plunging into the rich teaching of Scripture and the Magisterium on the magnificence of the incarnation of the Son of God, the sanctity of human life, and the profound respect we owe ourselves and one another as spirits with bodies that express our sacred essence as children of God.
About our speaker: Christauria Welland is the Executive Director at Health Transformations, a Rehabilitation Psychologist at Medical Staff Paradise Valley Hospital, a Clinical Psychologist in Private Practice in Solano Baech, CA., and an adjunct professor for CSPP clinical programs in San Diego.
