Inspired by SMC's unique Jan Term Program, CILSA at Saint Mary's has created an opportunity for alumni, parents and friends of SMC to learn and serve in special places around the world.     LEARN about the history, culture, and economic development of post-genocide Rwanda and our role as global citizens. Learn CILSA’s mission of community service and social justice education.

    SERVE with cutting edge non-profit organizations that are working together with the Rwanda government for the day when all people of Rwanda can live healthy and productive lives.

  • SPECIAL SITE VISITS

    VISIT the genocide memorials, a national park, a local tea plantation, the U.S. Embassy and more!

  • LEADERSHIP TEAM

    The LEADERSHIP Team is comprised of Dr. Marshall Welch, Jim Losi, M.A., & Ryan M. Lamberton, M.A., all of whom have extensive experience with teaching and learning in places both near and far.
