CILSA offers various leadership development opportunities for students who are interested in making a year long commitment to service and social justice education.

CILSA is still accepting Student Leadership applications for our SLICE program and for Jumpstart Team Leaders and Corps Members. Applications are closed for Bonner Campus Leaders, Bonner Community Leaders, Engaged Learning Facilitators, and Jumpstart Program Intern. Interviews are currently underway.

Corps Members work with small groups of preschool children on language and literacy skills, right in your community, and attend training and service days. The single most powerful experience you can have being involved in Jumpstart.
Like people? If you answered with an emphatic, “Yes!” then you’d make a great Jumpstart Team Leader! Coordinate. recruit, train, and manage volunteers for short and long-term service projects.

SLICE is a two-semester independent study program of academic distinction. Juniors or seniors in SLICE study issues of leadership, justice or equity in their major or minor discipline and put their knowledge to use through the creation of a project that addresses an issue and meets a need in the community.

Bonner Leaders
The Bonner Leader Program transforms the lives of students, the life of their campuses, their local communities, and the world through service and leadership.
Engaged Learning Facilitators (ELFs)
ELFs serve as liaisons between faculty members teaching service-learning and community-based research courses, the students enrolled in those courses, and the community partners with whom students serve.
Jumpstart Corps Members
Jumpstart is working toward the day every child in America enters school prepared to succeed.
SLICE (Student Leaders in Community Engagement)
SLICE is a two-semester independent study program of academic distinction. Juniors or seniors in SLICE study issues of leadership, justice or equity in their major or minor discipline and put their knowledge to use through the creation of a project that addresses an issue and meets a need in the community.
Note: Summer "Made to Serve" Camp Counselor positions will be available for Summer 2014. Applications for these positions will be available in Spring 2014.
