Health Insurance is provided by Healthnet for all international students. The cost will be charged to the student account.
Due to the extremely high cost of health care in the United States, health insurance is mandatory for all international undergraduate and graduate students. All students are required to purchase the Health Net College Health Plan, irregardless of pre-exisiting insurance coverage. Waivers are not available.
Overview: The program is designed to provide minor as well as major medical services in the event of illness or accident. The cost of the medical insurance is $860 for 12 months (August 1st to July 31st) and $430 will be charged each term for the fall and spring statements. If students have their own insurance and have to go to the doctor or the hospital, frequently, you will be required to pay at the time of service and then you will contact your insurance company for reimbursement.
