The housing move-in date will be on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 10 am to 2:00 pm as part of International Student Orientation. Please come to Brother Jerome West Building for check-in. The Center for International Programs (not the Housing office) will be welcoming and checking in students to their dorms. Please note that accommodation will not be available prior to Friday, August 22, 2014.
International Student Arrival Information Form
In order for us to check you in to your dorm and make arragnements for the orientation (meals, transportation, etc.) you must complete the “International Student Arrival Information From” online at http://www.stmarys-ca.edu/internationalarrival. Please
There are two orientations, First Year Student Orientation or Transfer Student Orientation AND International Student Orientation. You are required to attend both.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requires all international students to check-in with The Center for International Programs office and attend the mandatory International Student Orientation. The International Student Orientation will be held on St. Mary’s College of California campus from Friday, August 22, 2014 to Tuesday, August 26, 2014. Please be advised that weekend activities will be optional. You are automatically registered for the International Student Orientation. If you are an athlete, separate arrangements may be made due to your team’s schedule. Please contact our office at firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm your arrangement.
Please bring following original documents to the International Student Orientation:
- F-1 Student Visa Stamp (in your passport)
- I-20, Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant (F-1) Student
- Housing License form

Regular Orientation - Session IV
All first year international students are required to attend the Regular 1st Year Orientation Session IV on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 provided by Parent and Family Program. All transfer international students are required to attend the Regular Transfer Orientation Session IV on Monday, September 1, 2014. Please visit www.stmarys-ca.edu/orientation to register. If you are an athlete, you may be able to attend earlier orientation if arrangements are made in advance.
Placement Test (subject to change)
All international Students including Transfer students are required to take the Math and English placement exams regardless of your country of citizenship or prior coursework. Placement exam will be part of International Student Orientation.
Writing Placement Test: You are automatically registered for the writing placement exam as part of the International Student Orientation so there's no need for you do to do anything.
Math Placement Test: When you are registering for the New or Transfer Regular Orientation Session IV, you will be able to sign up for the Math placement test. Please select August 25th at 10:30 am. Please contact our office with any questions.
