The Christian Science Monitor spoke with Saint Mary's Assistant Professor Arnav Sheth about the recent ruling by the Internal Revenue Service that Bitcoin is property, not currency. Sheth's comments were featured in reporter Gloria Goodale's story "Yes, Bitcoin is legit, says IRS. But tax reporting could be boggling." Among other things, Sheth, who teaches finance in SEBA's Graduate Business Program, noted the decision could make use of the digital currency clunky, requiring complicated accounting for simple Bitcoin transactions.
