As we look forward to a successful event, we are relying upon the generosity of our donors and friends and hope you will consider donating an item (art, objects or fine wine) or two to this auction. In return for your participation, you will be recognized in the auction program, on the Hearst Gallery website and in the expansion project’s honor roll of donors, which will be produced once the project is completed.

The Gallery currently houses a collection of over 4,000 objects with a value of more than $10 million, and the collection continues to grow every year. As the only accredited art museum in Contra Costa County, the Hearst Gallery currently hosts 10,000 to 14,000 visitors each year and has not increased its space since it was built in 1975.
Planned improvements to the Gallery will include increasing exhibition gallery space by 46 percent and storage capabilities by 55 percent, as well as upgrading surveillance to a high resolution digital and infra-red video system.
All donated items, along with a copy of the donation form, must be received by Karen Wolfe at Clars by Monday, August 1, 2011.
