The Year of the Gael campaign extends from brand building to supporting events. It helped entice more than 5,000 visitors to the spectacular Gaelebration in the fall!
Thousands of Gaels, family members and friends of the college converged on the campus on October 6 for the biggest – and definitely the most festive – celebration in Saint Mary's long history.
With the spectacular backdrop of San Francisco's city lights, the "Jewel of the Bay" on Treasure Island is Saint Mary's black-tie event of the Sesquicentennial year.
In honor of the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation and the founding of Saint Mary's, Father Edward Branch delivered a speech on "Black Catholic Voices" and the St. Columba Catholic Church Gospel Choir presented a concert in the college Chapel.
